Specialty Care Pathway

Coordinated in-person evaluation
for severe allergic & type 2 inflammatory disease.

For selected patients, a coordinated in-person evaluation in Mexico City may help accelerate diagnostic clarification, advanced treatment planning, and long-term disease control — integrated with virtual second opinion and longitudinal follow-up.

Who may benefit

Designed for patients with complex or uncontrolled disease.

This pathway is reserved for selected patients with severe asthma, CRSwNP, chronic urticaria, atopic dermatitis, eosinophilic disease or other type 2 inflammatory conditions where in-person evaluation can meaningfully change the trajectory of care.

Uncontrolled disease despite optimized therapy
Recurrent oral steroid courses
Multiple coexisting type 2 conditions
Prior biologic failure or partial response
Recurrent emergency visits or hospitalizations
Repeated sinus or airway surgeries
Persistent quality-of-life impairment
Diagnostic uncertainty or overlapping phenotypes
Complex inflammatory disease patterns
How the experience works

A seven-step physician-led pathway.

  1. 01
    Advanced digital assessment

Structured intake across type 2 domains generates a clinically organized summary.

  2. 02
    Virtual specialist consultation

Phenotype-driven case review and second opinion in English or Spanish.

  3. 03
    Eligibility review

Together we determine whether an in-person evaluation is appropriate and useful.

  4. 04
    Coordinated visit to Mexico City

Practical guidance on timing, records, and logistics for a focused medical stay.

  5. 05
    48-hour diagnostic work-up

Consultations, lung function, laboratory studies and imaging coordinated efficiently.

  6. 06
    Results & personalized strategy

Phenotype/endotype discussion, treatment plan, and biologic candidacy when indicated.

  7. 07
    Longitudinal virtual follow-up

Ongoing monitoring, therapy adjustment and disease-control review from home.

48-hour structure

Two focused days of integrated evaluation.

The 48-hour window is intended as an organizing framework, not a guarantee. Some studies may extend beyond two days depending on clinical complexity and availability.

Day 1

Evaluation & studies

  • Specialist consultations
  • Lung function testing (spirometry, FeNO when indicated)
  • Laboratory studies (eosinophils, IgE, type 2 biomarkers)
  • Imaging coordination if required
  • Additional specialty evaluations when appropriate
Day 2

Integration & strategy

  • Results review and integrated discussion
  • Phenotype and endotype characterization
  • Personalized treatment strategy
  • Biologic candidacy discussion when indicated
  • Longitudinal follow-up plan
Visit guidance

Practical guidance for a coordinated medical visit.

Patients receive a single organized brief covering timing, documents and preparation — designed to make the medical visit efficient and unhurried.

Arrival timing

Suggested arrival the day prior to allow for rest and intake review.

Recommended areas to stay

Curated hotel districts near the medical office, with transit guidance.

Records to bring

Prior imaging, lab results, biologic history and current prescriptions.

Medication & fasting

Specific instructions sent in advance when fasting or pauses are required.

Flexible care experience

An individualized pathway, on your terms.

At the medical office

Many patients prefer to attend the clinical office directly — a structured, reassuring medical environment.

Coordinated near your hotel

When feasible, selected services can be coordinated near the patient's hotel to reduce travel during the visit.

Advanced treatment planning

Phenotype-driven, evidence-based strategy.

After evaluation, a personalized strategy may be developed — including biologics, immunotherapy, advanced anti-inflammatory strategies and multidisciplinary coordination when appropriate. Outcomes vary by individual.

Longitudinal follow-up

The relationship continues after the visit.

Virtual follow-up supports treatment monitoring, disease-control review and therapy adjustment over time — integrated with your treating team at home.
